Glamour Women of the Year Awards: Jessie J in Julien Macdonald

This is sort of LBD with a flapper twist….and I like it….

Event:  2012 Glamour Women of the Year Awards, London

Verdict:  I really like this black, fringe-y Julien Macdonald dress on Jessie!  I think it is so pretty, and it really reminds me of a flapper dress….which I LOVE!  If this were anyone else, I might say that her slicked back hair, thick black eye makeup and clunky shoes are just too heavy for this playful dress, but for whatever reason, on Jessie it works.  I like this look on her.  It suits her….and it looks a million times better than some of the stuff I’ve seen her in.    This is ultra sexy and chic!  I give this an A! (She just needs to smile!)

Rescue Our Angels Fundraiser: Jenny McCarthy in Victoria Beckham

Event:  Rescue Our Angels Fundraiser, Chicago

Verdict:  I think Jenny looks outstanding in this turquoise Victoria Beckham crepe dress!  So pretty!  This is a great color for her….and it is so flattering to her figure!  And her turquoise and crystal Miu Miu sandals are TO-DIE-FOR!!  I pretty much love everything about this!  Jenny definitely gets an A+ for this look!  It is perfection!

‘Men in Black 3′ Premiere: Kelly Ripa in Miu Miu

Quite possibly the cutest LBD I have ever seen….

Event:  ‘Men in Black 3′ Premiere, New York

Verdict:  What can I say, I’m a sucker for the LBD!  And I LOVE THIS LITTLE BLACK MIU MIU DRESS.  Love it!  In fact, I would love to have it for myself!   I think the little sleeves are adorable and the poufy skirt and fitted bodice combo are just so perfect!  This dress really looks great on Kelly.  And the sparkly Casadei pumps provide the perfect finishing touches.  I feel like this look maybe isn’t fancy enough for a movie premiere, but hey, it’s Men in Black 3, so I suppose this Miu Miu dress is appropriate.  Can’t really wear a ball gown to Men in Black 3, now can you?!  I give this look an A.  (Seriously, if it wouldn’t break the bank, I would order this dress for myself I love it so much.)

amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala: Nina Dobrev in Elie Saab

Sequins have never looked so good….

Event:  amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala @ the 2012 Cannes Film Festival

Verdict:  I absolutely LOVE this blue sequined Elie Saab gown on Nina!  She looks fabulous!  The off the shoulder part of the gown makes her shoulders and collarbone look oh-so-sexy!  And that slit!  WOW!  So hot!  She really looks great.  Strappy silver Jimmy Choo sandals, a Ferragamo clutch and a swept-up bun complete this lovely look.  I give this look an A+!

Maxim Hot 100 Party: Bar Refaeli in L’Agence

Huh.  A jumpsuit.  To the ‘Maxim Hot 100 Party’….not sure how I feel about that…..

Event:  Maxim Hot 100 Party, New York

Verdict:  Well, let me start by saying this: I do like the jumpsuit.  I think the keyhole detail on top is sexy and fun.  But I don’t really like it for the venue in which she is attending.  I feel like a cute cocktail/party dress would’ve been a more appropriate choice for the ‘Maxim Hot 100 Party’….especially since Bar was voted #1!!! Buuuut, as I said, I do like this L’Agence jumpsuit.   It is chic and sexy, without showing too much skin.  I mean, if there were ever a time to show some skin at a party, it would certainly be a Maxim party!!  Oh well, I won’t go there again.  Bar looks pretty.  Sleek, straight hair and chunky wrist cuffs complete this playful look.  I give this a B.
