Celeb Street Style: Sister Edition

Celebrating some sisterly street style on this lovely Sunday morning….

Celebs:  Marta (left) and Joanna Krupa

Where:  Shopping in Los Angeles

Verdict:  I think both women look cute.

Marta:  I really like her gray v-neck t-shirt!  I think it is a perfect choice for a casual afternoon of shopping and lunching and well, just hanging out.  And I like her bag, too.  Very chic.  I am just so-so about her jeans, though.  I mean, I am not crazy about ripped jeans for myself personally, but I do think they look good on her.  She wears them well.  And I like that they aren’t so ripped that they are practically falling off of her.  She finished her outfit with a pair of brown strappy wedges.   Not sure that is the best shoe choice for a day of walking around shopping, but oh wells.  Such is the life of a socialite.  Plus, the shoes are very cute.  Overall, I would say Marta did a good job dressing for a casual day on the town with her sister.

Joanna:  I feel like Joanna looks slightly more dressed up than her sister.  Yes?  I will start by saying this:  I LOVE her purse!  I love the color (so versatile!) and the chain-like detail!  So gorgeous!  Now, onto her outfit.  I don’t really know why, but I am not crazy about her white strapless top.  I like the eyelet detail on the top, but for whatever reason I just don’t love it.  Skinny jeans, turquoise-colored platform pumps and dangly earrings of the same color complete her casual look.  I definitely like her shoes, but I don’t think they are appropriate for a day of shopping.  I mean, when I am out shopping, I absolutely DO NOT want to worry about my feet hurting.  Shopping should bring pleasure, not pain.  Overall, Joanna looks cute, but I think I prefer Marta’s casual style.

What do you think?  Which woman’s outfit do you prefer?  Do you like Marta’s t-shirt and ripped jeans?  Or are Joanna’s white eyelet top and brightly colored pumps more your style?

FOX All-Star Party: Lea Michele in Emilio Pucci

Celeb:  Lea Michele

Designer:  Emilio Pucci (dress), Brian Atwood (pumps)

Event:  FOX All-Star Party, Los Angeles

Verdict:  I think this is one of the first times (if not the first time) that I actually went “wow, she looks really good!’  I mean, Lea is a pretty girl, but I feel like she has been stuck in a fashion rut….having worn a string of ‘so-so’ outfits on recent red carpet appearances.  This is a welcomed change.  I really love this Emilio Pucci dress!  It is beautiful and it looks lovely on Lea.   I like the plunging neckline, the bunched-up sleeves, the flouncy skirt and especially the crystal embellished waistband….it is so feminine and flirty!  And the color is divine!  I have to say, though, I am not completely loving her Brian Atwood pumps with this dress.  I think they are a bit too harsh for such a light, airy dress.  Other than that….I am head-over-heels for this!   A messy side braid and minimal makeup complete this gorgeous look.

What do you think?  Do you like this Emilio Pucci dress on Lea?  Love it or loathe it?  Yay or nay?

MUSE Magazine: Candice Swanepoel

South African supermodel Candice Swanepoel isn’t just a Victoria’s Secret hottie….she is also the 10th highest-paid model in the world and is the new muse for, well, none other than MUSE Magazine….

One word:  WOW.  What a beautiful woman.  Fun fact about Candice:  she speaks three languages!   The first being from her native South Africa-Afrikaans-and she is also fluent in Portuguese and English.  A beauty with brains.  And a blonde no less.  Awesome.   ;)

Narciso Rodriguez Shoe Collection Luncheon: Jessica Alba in Narciso Rodriguez

Celeb:  Jessica Alba

Designer: Narciso Rodriguez (dress, shoes and bag), Thierry Lasry (sunglasses)

Event:  Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2012 Shoe Collection Luncheon, New York City

Verdict:  I LOVE IT!  Not only is this figure-hugging Narciso Rodriguez dress super flattering on Jessica, but it is chic and classy, too.  Perfect for an afternoon luncheon.  And the color stripes keep it from being just-another-plain-white-bandage-dress.  I am just so-so about her black handbag….but I love everything else: the black and white D’orsay pumps, the blue Thierry Lasry shades and her sleek, pulled-back ’do.  This is definitely an A+ :)

What do you think?  Do you like this Narciso Rodriguez dress on Jessica?  Love it or loathe it?  Yay or nay?

NYC Street Style: Miranda Kerr in Stella McCartney

Well, just when I thought I couldn’t love her any more….she goes and wears this….

Celeb:  Miranda Kerr

Designer:  Stella McCartney (jeans), Equipment (blouse), Celine (bag), Prada (sunglasses)

Event:  Out-and-about in New York City

Verdict:  I looooooove this!  This is a perfect daytime-casual outfit!  Miranda looks impeccable.  The quirky print on her silk Equipment blouse looks great with these white high-waisted Stella McCartney jeans.  Super-chic accessories include Prada shades, sandals and a Celine handbag.   Miranda is literally the queen of looking effortlessly cool.  All hail the queen.

What do you think?  Do you like this Equipment blouse and Stella McCartney jeans combo on Miranda?  Love it or loathe it?  Yay or nay?
