2013 Met Gala: Anne Hathaway in Valentino

Anne+Hathaway+Met+Gala+2013+Valentino+Couture+1

Celeb:  Anne Hathaway

Designer:  Valentino

Event:  2013 Met Gala, New York City

Verdict:  Considering the venue, I think Anne looks good.  This is the Met Gala, after all.   Where the stars are supposed to get funky.  This Valentino gown fits the actress perfectly, and the crazy sleeves combined with the cut-outs and wild design, well, I think she got it just right.  I’m not crazy about her nails, but I do like that she completely surprised everyone by going blonde!  So, overall, I like this.  Good job, Anne.

What do you think?  Do you like Anne is this Valentino number?  Love it?  Hate it?

Happy Tuesday!

Star Trek Into Darkness Premiere: Alice Eve in Emilio Pucci

alice

Celeb:  Alice Eve

Designer:  Emilio Pucci

Event:  ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Premiere, Berlin

Verdict:  Alice is absolutely sizzling in this red Emilio Pucci dress!  I love it!  The little cut-out in the front is so, so sexy, yet still understated.  And the back of the dress!  Wowzers!  I mean, come on.  If you don’t like this…then, well….you need to get your eyes/head examined!  Alice literally looks like a tall,  statuesque  beauty.  She is one!  I even like the red lipstick!  If I had to pick out one itty-bitty miniscule detail here that I didn’t like, it would be the bangs.  I don’t like ‘em.  BUT….they do not take away from this look in the slightest.  Bangs or no bangs, the Star Trek actress looks the a full-blown movie star.  Amazing!  Love!

What do you think?  Do you like Alice in this red-hot Emilio Pucci dress?  Love it?  Loathe it?

Happy Hump Day!

Star Trek Into Darkness Premiere: Zoe Saldana in Balmain

Celeb:  Zoe Saldana

Designer:  Balmain (skirt and top), Christian Louboutin (pumps)

Event:  ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Premiere, Berlin

Verdict:  ZOE CAN DO NO WRONG.  I love this and I love her!  This embroidered pink and gold leather top and bright pink tulip-shaped skirt (both by Balmain) are different, sure.  But most certainly in a good way!  Zoe looks great!  She looks sexy and edgy and sleek all at the same time.  Plus, it’s for the ‘Star Trek’ premiere!  She needed to wear something sort of futuristic!  A dark manicure, slicked-back hair and a pair of Christian Louboutin ’Pigaresille’ pumps complete this gorgeous look.  For me, this look deserves an A.

What do you think?  How would you grade this look?  Love it or loathe it?  Tell me, people!!!

Hope everyone has a great week!  :)

Iron Man 3 Premiere: Gwyneth Paltrow in Antonio Berardi

Gwyneth+Paltrow+Iron+Men+Antonio+Berardi+Tom+Lorenzo+14

Celeb:  Gwyneth Paltrow

Designer:  Antonio Berardi (top and maxi skirt), Christian Louboutin (sandals)

Event:  Iron Man 3 Premiere, Los Angeles

Verdict:  Dare I say this….but….I really like this!  As I am not a huge fan of Gwynnie, I can admit when she looks good….and GIRL LOOKS GOOD!  Typically I would not be a fan of such a revealing dress for a red carpet event (or any other event, really) but in this case it is the Iron Man 3 premiere, so it feels right….if that makes sense.  The colors in this Antonio Berardi ensemble: the black and white paired with the green and navy….I don’t know….they just work together.  Like I said, to me, this dress just looks Iron Man-ish.  Somehow appropriate.  I really can’t explain it any further than that.  And not to mention that Gwyneth Queen of the World Paltrow has a KILLER bod.  So, in any other instance, and probably on anybody else, a bit of butt cheek on the red carpet would be a giant no-no.  But on this day only, for Gwyneth and for Iron Man, I say yes.  She makes this dress look chic and feminine, and I think she looks sexy as ever!  The white Christian Louboutin sandals are great with this dress, IMO.  And, lastly, plain hair and makeup.  But let’s be honest.  With a dress like this one, plain hair and makeup are the way to go.  The dress stands alone.  For me, this is a stand-out look that most couldn’t pull off.  Gwyneth does, and does it quite well.  A+

What do you think?  Do you like Gwyneth in this multi-color, sheer panel Antonio Berardi blouse and maxi skirt?  Love it or hate it?  Classy or trashy?

2013 White House Correspondents’ Dinner: Nicole Kidman in Emilio Pucci

nicole-kidman-white-house-correspondents-dinner-2013-01

Celeb:  Nicole Kidman

Designer:  Emilio Pucci (dress),  Bottega Veneta (clutch), Manolo Blahnik (sandals), Fred Leighton (earrings)

Event:  2013 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Washington DC

Verdict:  Nicole looks beautiful!  I love this fully embellished lavender gown by Emilio Pucci.  I mean, do I think it is completely ridiculous that celebrities come from all over to rub elbows with the President and the First Lady?  Absolutely.  Buuuut, that is for an entirely different conversation, one I won’t get into at present time.  Anyways, back to the important stuff.  Fashion.  Like I said, I think Nicole looks amazing in this dress.  And I am so happy that she kept everything else super simple:  minimal makeup, loose curls and a pair of Fred Leighton drop earrings.  She let the dress be the focal point, as it should be.  Very nice.  A+ Nicole!  :)

What do you think?  Do you like this light purple Emilio Pucci dress on Nicole?  Love it?  Hate it?

Happy Monday, friends!
