Pomellato Rodeo Drive Boutique Opening: Jessica Lowndes in David Meister Signature

A super-cute ’90210′ lady….

Celeb:  Jessica Lowndes

Designer:  David Meister Signature (dress), Jimmy Choo (shoes)

Event:  Pomellato Rodeo Drive Boutique Opening, Beverly Hills

Verdict:  I really like the dress.  I think the dark navy blue color is really pretty and I like the shape, too.  The fitted bodice and the lace are both very girly, very feminine touches.  And Jessica is a beautiful girl, so it is hard to imagine her looking less-than-lovely in anything.  Whilst I do think this dress looks great on her, I am not crazy about her hair (wish she would’ve worn it down) and I am none too happy about her choice of shoe.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the Jimmy Choo’s….I just don’t feel like they were the best choice for this navy blue dress.

AnnaLynne McCord is brunette!

Actress AnnaLynne McCord has done a major switch up!  She has gone from blonde to brunette!  I kinda had AnnaLynne labeled as a classic California girl, with a sort of flirty, bohemian style.  That all changes now that she has brunette locks….

 

 

I am not sure why, but dark hair on AnnaLynne makes her look like she should be a ‘Real Housewife.’   I don’t know why!  I like her hair dark for a change, but I definitely prefer her blonde!  Blonde is best!

 

What do you think?  Do you think AnnaLynne looks better as a blonde or brunette?  I prefer the former….

I hope everyone has a fantastic Thursday!  Today is my Friday, so I am pretty excited about that!  Just need to make it through today first….  ;)

Boho Chic?

Actress Shenae Grimes was in New York City at the Lincoln Center to promote her hit TV show 90210! 

 

When I first came across this picture, the caption attached to it said Shenae was wearing a “boho chic” velvet dress.  Yes, that’s what I said.  A velvet dress.   I don’t care how freakin’ cute a dress is….if it is made of velvet, then it automatically gets the ‘hideous’ label.   And this dress that Shenae is wearing only proves my point.   The pattern reminds me of something you might see on an old couch!  An old velvet couch.  And the fringe!  What the heck is up with the fringe on her sleeves?!  Seriously ugly, IMO.  Oddly enough, I don’t really like her shoes, either.  From the neck up Shenae looks cute, but from the neck down…..not so much.   In this case, boho chic is really more like girl-in-a-hideous-velvet-dress-not-so-chic!
