MusiCares Gala: Katy Perry in Alexander McQueen

Event:  2013 MusiCares Person of the Year Gala, Los Angeles

Verdict:  This is amazing!  I love this orange halter Alexander McQueen gown on Katy!  The  jewel covered neckline is sooo gorgeous and this color really looks good with Katy’s dark hair.  I like that she kept is simple, too….her only accessory is a cocktail ring.  Minimal makeup and side-swept hair provided the perfect finishing touches.  Lovely!

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards: Nicole Kidman in Alexander McQueen

Event:  70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Los Angeles

Verdict:  I really like this Alexander McQueen dress on Nicole!  I like the bronze studs at the top and the see-through mesh middle is ultra-sexy and super chic!  However, I am not crazy about the bracelets that she is wearing.  I feel like they kind of ‘junk up’ an otherwise really lovely look.  Loose curls and nude lips complete this edgy, yet elegant look.

‘Les Miserables’ Premiere: Eddie Redmayne in Alexander McQueen

Event:  ‘Les Miserables’ Premiere, New York City

Verdict:  HELLO!  This dude looks amazing!  Now, I can’t necessarily say that I think ‘Les Miserables’ looks amazing, but this crisp blue Alexander McQueen suit sure does!  I love the bright white shirt underneath and the burgundy pocket square with the check tie are perfect with this suit.  This whole look is perfectly styled, IMO.  Eddie looks great!  Wish he would’ve taken his hands out of his pocket, though.  Even still, I give this an A+!

Toronto Film Festival: Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen

Event:  ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist’ Premiere @ the 2012 Toronto Film Festival

Verdict:  I love this Alexander McQueen gown on Kate!  It is ultra glamorous!  I love the long sleeves and the structured shoulders and I really love the embellished split….she looks very pretty.  I quite like it when Kate switches it up on us….she can so easily go from beachy, bohemian babe to chic, polished movie star.  The only part about this look that I am not loving are her white shoes.  Granted, they don’t look bad….buuuuuut, I think a strappy, jeweled Jimmy Choo sandal would’ve looked a bit better!  An Alexander McQueen clutch, simple hair and minimal makeup complete this lovely look.

84th Annual Academy Awards: Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen

Jessica looks gorgeous in Alexander, Harry and Brian….

Event:  84th Annual Academy Awards, Los Angeles

Verdict:  AMAZING.  I love this.  LOVE IT!  Possibly my best dressed of the entire evening?!  The intricacy of the black and gold embroidery is fabulous.  So detailed, so beautiful.  The sweetheart neckline is perfect for Jessica’s petite frame, too!  Her hair looks gorgeous, her makeup looks gorgeous….honestly, everything about this entire look is gorgeous.  Perfection!
