Celeb: Emmy Rossum
Designer: Christian Dior (dress), Charlotte Olympia (sandals), Ralph Lauren (clutch), House of Lavande (earrings)
Event: ‘Beautiful Creatures’ Screening, New York City
Verdict: I really like this royal blue Christian Dior dress on Emmy. It is conservative, yet sexy and very chic. And I adore her strappy Charlotte Olympia ‘Isadora’ sandals and House of Lavande earrings! Great accessorizing by her stylist. What I don’t like is the blue eyeliner and greasy looking hair. Now, I realize that her hair needed to be somewhat pulled back to show off the earrings. Buuuut, to me it looks a bit oily and disheveled. Not good. And I have NEVER been a fan of matching eye makeup to an outfit. Emmy is absolutely adorable and I normally love most everything she wears, so I will let this slide. Plus, as I said, the dress is quite lovely! Because of her hair and makeup, though, I have to give this a B-.

Celeb: Solange Knowles
Designer: Twenty8Twelve (jacket & shorts), Preen (blouse), Charlotte Olympia (clutch), Nicholas Kirkwood (heels)
Event: ‘Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007′ Screening, New York City
Verdict: I am going to be brutally honest here: I hate this. All of it. Aside from the color of the jacket and shorts (I love pink!), I don’t think any part of this ensemble looks good on Solange. I mean, the shoes are cute, yeah, but they don’t make up for an entire outfit. The shorts are ill-fitting and I think her lipstick looks terrible. Aaaaaand don’t even get me started on her hair. Wretched. Just wretched. And you know what? A stylist probably put this look together for her. Yuck with a capital Y!

Jennifer Lopez was pictured arriving at the Civic Center in Los Angeles for the American Idol ‘Hollywood Week’ Auditions….
Jenny from the block (cliché, I know) chose a mustard colored coat from The Row’s Fall 2011 Collection and paired it with a black top, white Milly pants and Charlotte Olympia velvet platform pumps.
OMG I love this look! I love the vibrant color of the coat and I love the understated chic-ness of the entire outfit! It is so fab and Jennifer looks stunning, as usual!

Socialite Olivia Palermo attended the 2011 British Fashion Awards a couple of days ago at the Savoy Hotel in London….
Olivia chose a wool-crepe dress with beaded, sequin and feather apliqués from the Matthew Williamson Fall 2011 Collection and accessorized with a Charlotte Olympia clutch and Topshop flame mesh ankle boots.
I know many of you will disagree, but I think this is a great dress! And I think Olivia looks very pretty! This dress is very different, yes. But it looks so good on her! It is fun and bold and exciting, yet still flattering to her figure. The only thing I am unsure of is her choice of shoe. Because there is so much going on with the dress, I think a more simple shoe might’ve looked better. But even still, I think Olivia looks gorgeous! (Notice her nails are polished, too! Makes me happy!)
What do you think? How do you feel about Olivia in this Matthew Williamson dress? Love it? Loathe it?
