A pop of pink makes everything better….
Celeb: Jessica Stam
Designer: Versus (dress), Coach (bag)
Event: Coach’s Summer Party on the High Line, New York City
Verdict: I think Jessica looks super cute in this short-sleeved stretch jersey Versus dress! It is very fun and youthful….and I love the black, white and pink pattern. I also really love the pop of pink in the form of her Coach bag! This bag screams “I am ready for summer!” And I love it! Now….what I don’t love. Those shoes. They’re big and clunky and ugly. I don’t like them. I see where she is maybe trying to keep this outfit a bit more casual by not wearing heels, but come on, those are hideous. And they certainly don’t go with the feminine, girly feel of the rest of her outfit. Bright orange nails (which I like!) and a braided up-do (which I don’t like!) complete this summery ensemble.
What do you think? Do you like this Versus dress on Jessica? Love it or loathe it? Yay or nay?
P.S. Minka Kelly wore this exact same dress to an event for GQ last November…..
Jessica kept it more casual, while Minka dressed it up a bit with patent black pumps. Who do you think wore it better? Jessica or Minka?
Marion Cotillard is one of the most talented actress out there, IMO. I really love her! And she is really beautiful, but in a non-traditional way, which I also love! She is so glamorous and so chic, which is why I absolutely adore her in all the new Dior campaigns! She was the perfect choice to be the new face of Dior!
retro-glam, very film noir
Christian Dior Gray Campaign
You don’t need to be a model to be the face of a famous product! It is becoming more and more commonplace for celebrities to sign on as “the face” or “spokesperson” of certain designer clothing, fragrances, jewelry, handbags, sunglasses, etc. The very lovely Marion Cotillard is just one of the many actors to sign on with a high-profile designer. She is one of my favorite actresses and Dior is always a favorite of mine as well, so it was no surprise to me when I fell in love with the new Dior ad campaigns! Marion’s pictures are all so gorgeous! I absolutely adore the retro-glam look Marion has going for her! So pretty!
Which celeb ad campaigns do you like? Megan Fox for Giorgio Armani (fragrance)? Scarlett Johansson for Dolce & Gabbana (cosmetics)? Gwyneth Paltrow for Coach (handbags)?
Coach hosted a party in London to celebrate the opening of their first European flagship store on New Bond Street. It was also the brand’s 70th anniversary and actress Gwyneth Paltrow was the guest of honor, as she will be the new face of Coach. Gwyneth was looking lovely in an orange liquid jersey dress by Lanvin….
Gwyn paired the 2012 Lanvin Resort cocktail dress with a snakeskin clutch by Coach, red peep-toe ankle booties and a diamond chain-link necklace. She looks great, although I don’t like this look as much as I loved the blush colored T-back Prada Gwyneth wore the other night! Still though, she looks really good! I like bold colors, such as orange, red, and fuchsia, paired together, so I really love this orange/red combo! And her soft hair and minimal makeup really complete this look. Very nice, Gwyneth.
