Vanity Fair & Fisker Automotive Golden Globes Nomination Party: Emma Stone in Lanvin

Emma Stone attended the Vanity Fair and Fisker Automotive Toast Dreamworks Pictures Golden Globes Best Drama Nominations in a Lanvin colorblock dress….

Emma’s banded tri-color nude, black and rose stretch silk dress features an embroidered crystal snake that wraps around her neck and goes down to the bottom of the dress.   A very interesting choice, IMO.  And you know what?  I think I kind of like it.  I really like the color combination (I think it goes well with her hair color) and her black silk Lanvin pumps are perfectly understated and very appropriate for this dress.   Obviously the crystal snake is her biggest accessory and the focal point of the entire outfit….duh!  Which is exactly why I wish she would’ve opted for an up-do rather than wearing her hair down.  And actually, I am not really loving her bronze-y eyeshadow, either.

The verdict is this:  Great dress!  Could’ve been a truly amazing red carpet look had she ditched the shimmery eyeshadow and worn her hair up!

What do you think?  Do you like Emma in this tri-color Lanvin dress?  Love it?  Loathe it?  You know what, I think this calls for a poll….

How to Train Your Dragon

Tonight Ky-Ky and I made a pit stop at Best Buy.  Well, I guess I can’t really call it a pit-stop.  We almost never leave empty-handed and are usually there for at least an hour.   And tonight followed suit.  We bought my mom a movie as part of her mother’s day gift (can’t say which one in case she is reading!) and we bought a little treat for ourselves as well:  How to Train Your Dragon!

I was going to try to sum this movie up in one word…..but it isn’t possible!  This movie is too good!  It is awesome and amazing and funny and cute and I just really loved it!!!

This is one of those movies that can be enjoyed by both adults and children!  I was hesitant to watch it at first because I was afraid something horribly tragic was going to happen to one of the dragons and then I would sit there crying the entire time like a huge baby.  But, alas, that wasn’t the case at all!  I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie!  I can’t wait to watch it again!

***Have you seen HTTYD?  And if so, what did you think about it?***
