Happy Earth Day fellow Earth dwellers! I am gonna get all earthy on ya and say “Let’s make every day Earth Day!” Taking care of our planet is very important!!
And also, Starbucks is offering free coffee to those who bring in a reusable cup today until 9 pm!! Free coffee? Yes, please!!
Here are a few little fun facts about our planet Earth:
- Earth is the only planet known to harbor life.
- Oceans cover 70% of Earth’s surface.
- All of the planets are named after Greek & Roman Gods except Earth, which is English/German for “ground.”
- Earth formed 4.54 billion years ago & life appeared within one billion years.
- The Pacific Ocean is one of the largest features on Earth, covering over 70 million square miles.
Wow! Our Earth is pretty amazing! Which is why we need to take care of it and not abuse our resources!
