MTV Movie Awards: Victoria Justice in Erin Fetherston

Super-duper cute in color-block yellow….

Celeb:  Victoria Justice

Designer:  Erin Fetherston (dress), Michael Kors (sandals & clutch), Swarovski (jewelry)

Event:  2012 MTV Movie Awards, Los Angeles

Verdict:  I looooove this yellow color-block Erin Fetherston dress on Victoria!  I think she looks absolutely adorable!  I like the one shoulder top, and the darker yellow color of the flowy skirt is so lovely!  Her black belt and black sandals give this ultra-girly dress just the right amount of edginess!  And this dress is perfectly appropriate for the MTV Movie Awards….Victoria looks very pretty and put-together, but she still looks youthful, fresh and flirty!  I really love this!  Loose waves and a pink pout complete this fantastic Movie Award look!  A+

What do you think?  Do you like Victoria in this Erin Fetherston creation?  Love it or loathe it?  Yay or nay?

‘X-Factor’ Season Finale: Zooey Deschanel in Erin Fetherston

Adorable actress Zooey Deschanel hit the red carpet last Thursday at the ‘X-Factor’ Season Finale at CBS Television City  in Los Angeles….

Zooey chose a super-cute above-the-knee drop waist dress with scalloped hemline from the Erin Fetherston Resort 2012 Collection.  I really like this dress and I think Ms. Deschanel looks really great!  This dress is young and playful and fun…BUT WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH HER SHOES?!?  They look terrible with this dress…and I hate them.  I was so happy with this outfit until I gazed down at those shoes-I mean, come on!  Black pumps?  No way.  Not even.  They are absolutely wrong for this outfit.  And I certainly don’t have anything against classic black pumps….they are a wardrobe staple, obviously.  This dress needs something more dainty…something more girly…something less clunky.  Know what I mean?

The verdict is this:  I really like the dress, and I love Zooey’s hair and makeup!  But this pretty dress falls flat when paired with plain black pumps.  Period.

What do you think?  Do you like this Erin Fetherston dress on Zooey?  Love it?  Loathe it?

Juicy Couture: juicy sale

My number one rule on department store sale promotions:

DO NOT BUY AN ITEM ON SALE IF YOU WOULD NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR THAT VERY SAME ITEM.

Follow that rule, and you cannot go wrong.  When it comes to fashion, anyway.  Back to the topic on hand:  Juicy Couture.  I used to be a big fan of the brand, and I still am, although I don’t wear it as much anymore.  I feel like I have outgrown wearing Juicy Couture, for some reason.  A velour track suit on a thirty year old somehow just doesn’t seem appropriate.  Know what I mean?

I am, however, very much into Juicy shoes.  Whilst browsing the ‘net this morning I stumbled upon this lovely little shoe:

Welcome to the Damsel Glitter Heel by Juicy Couture.  Retail price is $275.  Not bad for a pair of heels.  I certainly own a pair or two (or three) that cost significantly more than that and I think this shoe is super-cute!  This shoe features a 3 inch stacked heel on full platform and peep-toe…and it is designed by Erin Fetherston!

And guess what?!  These heels are on sale for $99.99 at the Juicy Couture online boutique!  (www.juicycouture.com)  Now that, my friends, is a great deal.  Bargain shopping at it’s best: finding something that you would pay full-price for, at a hugely discounted rate!   Score!  *giving myself a little pat on the back*

Happy Shopping, kiddies!

Rachel Bilson in Erin Fetherston

Hart of Dixie hottie Rachel Bilson attended an event at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank earlier this week wearing a blush pink ruffled dress by Erin Fetherston.

Rachel paired the Resort 2012 dress with a sparkly green clutch and to-die-for silk Giuseppe Zanotti heels.   When Rachel arrived at the bash she was wearing a cropped black Vanessa Bruno blazer.  I think I prefer the dress without the blazer, but Rachel looks great either way!  I really like this dress and I love the heels!  And the sparkly green clutch offers the perfect amount of color-contrast!   Rachel’s makeup looks soft and pretty, but I am not over-the-top crazy for her hairdo.  I think a low, side-swept loose ponytail might’ve looked a bit better, although, like I said, Rachel still looks fantastic!  Very chic!

What do you think?  Do you prefer this Erin Fetherston dress with or without the black blazer?
