Henri Bendel Las Vegas Grand Opening: Lucy Hale in Free People and Topshop

Event:  Henri Bendel Las Vegas Grand Opening, Fashion Show Mall, Las Vegas

Verdict:  I think this lace and floral blouse by Topshop looks super cute paired with this faux leather Free People skirt.  The leather, lace and floral pattern really make for a feminine and fun, yet flirty look!  Very nice mix of different fabrics, too.  A gold horizontal cross necklace, red lips, nude platform pumps and side-swept locks complete this pretty look.

Celeb Street Style: Ashley Tisdale

Adorable actress Ashley Tisdale was out and about in Los Angeles this weekend….looking super cute!

Designer:  Chanel (handbag), Sweater (Free People), Shorts (Free People), Sandals (Sam Edelman)

Event:  Running errands in Los Angeles on Friday, June 1st

Verdict:  I love this outfit!  I think it is really cute!   I love her tribal-print shorts!  I feel like some celebs over-do and over-wear the whole tribal-print trend, but in this case the shorts are just enough!  It is on a large enough scale where you notice them, but it isn’t overwhelming either.  I like the sweater, too, but I feel like wearing a sweater in Los Angeles in June might be a bit too much.  It’s hot in LA!  And let’s not forget her GORGEOUS Chanel handbag.  I freaking love it!  It is a beautiful and classic piece that can be worn with so many different outfits.  Ashley finished off her outfit with cute tan-colored Sam Edelman sandals.  Very nice!  I like this outfit very much!

Not-So-Chic Street Style: Vanessa Hudgens in Free People

I remember when Vanessa Hudgens dressed really cute…sorta hippie-chick-meets-bohemian-rocker-girl type outfits.  And she could pull ‘em off!  Sadly, those days (and outfits!) are gone.  Long gone.  This is what we are left with….

 

First off, let me start by saying this:  What the heck is she thinking?!?  This outfit is horrendous.  Horribly horrendous.  Secondly…WHAT THE HECK IS SHE THINKING?!?  She is wearing summer and winter clothes together, which is obviously ridiculous.  The sweater (Free People) is somewhat thick and bulky looking…clearly a winter sweater.  Yet she has it pulled down off one shoulder…with some bare belly showing.  As if that isn’t bad enough….oh gawd….dare I even go there….THE SHORTS.  They are way too short and they have a sort of acid wash look to them.  More importantly though, jean shorts are meant for summer!  Duh!  (I do realize that in Los Angeles the weather may be warm enough to wear summery-type clothes…which is why I don’t get the summer and winter items paired together)  Lastly, the boots.  Back to the winter wardrobe she goes.  Knee-high slouchy boots are cute, it’s true.  And I even like the boots Vanessa is wearing here, but not with jean shorts.  To top off her hideous outfit, she is carrying an equally hideous super-fringey bag (Ember Skye) and wearing an awkward headband. 

I just want Vanessa and this outfit to go away….forever for a long time.
