Pretty and fringe-y….
Celeb: Kellie Pickler
Designer: Hervé Léger (dress), Giuseppe Zanotti (heels)
Event: 2012 CMT Music Awards, Nashville, Tennessee
Verdict: I actually really like this Hervé Léger dress on Kellie! I think she looks great. I love that this dress isn’t your typical bandage dress. It isn’t skin-tight and it has some fun additions: the fringe on the bottom and the metal-like detail throughout. I think Kelly looks awesome! She completed this pretty ensemble with a pair of peep-toe gold Giuseppe Zanotti heels, loose waves and natural makeup. Very nice!
One more thing…..
Brandy wore this exact same dress earlier this year to the Billboard Music Awards…..
Kellie v. Brandy
I like the dress on both girls. Overall, I would say I like the way the dress fits Kellie a little bit better, but I like the shorter length on Brandy’s version. And I think I like Brandy’s Christian Louboutin pumps a bit better, too. But, like I said, I think both ladies look great!
What do you think? Who do you think wore it better? Kellie? Brandy?
Stacy ‘Fergie’ Ferguson walked the blue carpet at The Clinton Foundation’s ‘A Decade of Difference’ Gala a couple of nights ago….
The Fergalicious singer donned a navy blue and white one-shoulder dress with a pleated organza bust and geometric print skirt from the Georges Chakra Spring 2011 Couture Collection. And on her feet? Christian Louboutin, of course. ‘Pigalle Strass’ pumps, to be exact. Her silver clutch is Hervé Léger by Max Azria.
Now, this post has me torn. If you are a regular CandyBarbie reader, then you know I am not keen on Fergie’s red-carpet style. I almost never like what she wears to big events. But in this case, I do like this dress. I actually really like the dress. I think it is really pretty, very high-fashion looking. What I don’t like??? The bun. Why oh why is her hair in a hideous bun on top of her head? I don’t like it, not one bit. In fact, I loathe the bun.
Back to her overall look: I really like the Georges Chakra Couture dress, and I love the shoes and clutch. She looks really nice…..except for the bun.
What do you think? Do you like the dress? And, more importantly, do you like the bun?
Although I did not physically attend New York Fashion Week, I feel as though I was there in spirit! I have spent countless hours oohing and aahing into my computer screen, checking out all of the Fall and Spring 2011-2012 Collections. Some of my favorites include:
I really like the bold use of gold and black, and I am especially fond of the flapper-esque feel! This Gucci collection is very 1920′s glam!
This Jason Wu Collection is fun and girly and just the right amount of flirty! Love it! Very wearable, too!
Ralph Lauren is an American icon. Seriously! I love the dresses in this collection! They are edgy, yet sexy, and completely classy at the same time.
Wow! The body-hugging silhouettes paired with the fringe and shine makes these Herve Leger dresses instantly lust-worthy!
The Jill Stuart Collection is a bit more toned down compared to those of the other designers. But it is still very feminine and pretty and I like the mix of pastels with the bold red. It is very different from anything else, yet I could see myself wearing these very outfits!
What do you think? Who were your favorite designers at New York Fashion Week? Did anyone specifically stand out in your mind?
So, apparently President Obama and First Lady Michelle were cordially invited by Queen Elizabeth to head overseas and visit Buckingham Palace! Obviously if you are in the UK you have to meet Wills and Kate! Doi! So that is just what the First Family did!
Everyone lookin' all Royal!
Quite an impressive bunch….
I have to do this…….KATE=GREAT!!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this dress on Kate! I think she looks so completely gorgeous! The dress is a ‘Shola’ by Reiss but it reminds me of a Herve Leger bandage dress! And that is what I love about it! She looks so very elegant and beautiful, while still looking youthful! She is now Duchess Catherine, so she can’t go around wearing anything too revealing, but that doesn’t mean she has to look like a grandma either. The dress is body hugging, but not skin-tight, and the nude color with the black accessories just look classy.
I have never been all that interested in William and Kate, but she is really impressing me with her fashion choices lately! She either has really good taste or a fantastic stylist! Or maybe both! I haven’t yet decided! I am excited to see her future fashion choices as Duchess Catherine! So far, so good!
Here’s to wishing everyone a fabulous and fun Wednesday!
