Celeb: Carrie Underwood
Designer: Edition by Georges Chakra (jacket and shorts), Jimmy Choo (shoes)
Event: 2013 Country Music Television Music Awards, Nashville
Verdict: There is really no way for me to say this nicely….so I’m just going to say it….I don’t like this short suit on Carrie. I mean, I don’t hate it (she still looks pretty), but at the same time I definitely don’t love it. While it is something different (and fashion is all about trying new things and taking risks!), I just can’t get on board with it. The color is nice, but I don’t think her peep-toe Jimmy Choo pumps really ‘go’ with this ensemble. Maybe if they had been a nude color? I don’t know. Also, I am eagerly waiting for Carrie to do something different with her hair. I’d like to see her go with a more sleek ‘do….maybe a ponytail. Again, I don’t know. All I know is, I think she might be stuck in a hair rut! *gasp* In all seriousness, though, this short/jacket combo doesn’t look bad on the singer, I just think something is off. Not her best look, but she does get points for trying something new! I give this outfit a C.
What do you think? Do you like Carrie in this Edition by Georges Chakra outfit? Love it? Hate it?
Celeb: Jane Fonda
Designer: Atelier Versace (gown), Jimmy Choo (sandals), Versace (clutch), Chopard (jewels)
Event: ‘Jimmy P. (Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian)’ premiere, 2013 Cannes Film Festival, France
Verdict: UMMMM can I start by pointing out that this woman is 75 YEARS OLD???? Holy amazement. She looks phenomenal. I mean. Come on. This silk turquoise Atelier Versace gown with Swarovski embellishments and cut-out detail is absolutely perfect for the actress. It is sexy yet still age appropriate. Jane looks hot! Paired with a pair of Jimmy Choo’s, a silver Versace clutch and a stylish up-do, she gets it just right. There are many actresses half her age who need to take note! Attention ladies: do what Jane Fonda is doing! She looks better than ever! A+!
What do you think? Do you like Jane in this sparkly bright turquoise gown? Love it? Hate it?
Celeb: Jordana Brewster
Designer: Jenny Packham (gown), Jimmy Choo (sandals)
Event: ‘Fast and Furious 6′ Premiere, London
Verdict: Jordana looks stunning in this fully beaded, strapless Jenny Packham gown! I love it! Simple hair, simple makeup and simple jewelry complement this dress nicely. Honestly, I think Jordana is such a gorgeous girl and I absolutely cannot wait to see the sixth installment in the ‘Fast and Furious’ films….I pretty much love everything she does! This dress is beautiful and she wears it perfectly. LOVE.

Celeb: Katy Perry
Designer: Monique Lhuillier (dress), Jimmy Choo (pumps)
Event: ‘The Smurfs 2′ Photocall, Cancun, Mexico
Verdict: Katy looks like a lady! I love this blue lace Monique Lhuillier dress on ‘Smurfette’ To me this look is very old-Hollywood glam…with the lace, the thin black belt and of course the shades! I really like the styling here, too. The floral head-piece is fun and playful and the silver pointy-toe Jimmy Choo pumps add just the right amount of edge. And with an unexpected pop of color….her nails! Bright coral! Love! I pretty much adore this look from head to toe! It’s perfection!
What do you think? Do you like Katy in this blue lace Monique Lhuillier dress? Love? Loathe?
Celeb: Selena Gomez
Designer: Reem Acra (gown), Lorraine Schwartz (jewels), Jimmy Choo (clutch)
Event: ‘Spring Breakers’ Premiere, Los Angeles
Verdict: Very nice! I love this flowy red Reem Acra gown that features beaded illusion panels. It is gorgeous! Just like Selena! I sort of have a hard time saying this look is elegant….considering she is at a premiere of a movie titled ‘Spring Breakers’….a film in which she stars….but she does look quite lovely. Accessories include Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and a black Jimmy Choo clutch. Light makeup and loose, pulled-back wavy locks complete this pretty look.
What do you think? Do you like Selena in this Reem Acra gown? Love it or loathe it? Yay or nay?
