Nail polish has always been an interest of mine. I love pretty, polished nails. Love ‘em! Always have, always will. If I had more spare time, I would change my nail polish every day. Unfortunately though, I don’t have much free time, so I try to change my polish once a week. Twice a week, if I’m lucky.
Obviously color is what initially catches my eye, but I do look for other qualities when selecting a polish that I could potentially purchase:
- Color-Bright and vibrant is generally what I gravitate towards
- Consistency-Nothing too runny, nothing too thick
- Brush size-Extra-wide brushes are not for me-I find it hard to not get polish all over my skin
- Quick dry-I don’t care for quick dry polish-generally speaking. I think it gets too gel-like and gummy
Onto the polish! Currently one of my absolute favorite polishes: Myrtille by Sephora!
This polish is simply outstanding! It is a sort of cornflower blue, perwinkle-ish color. Every time I use it, I get tons of compliments on it! It is bright and fun, but it is appropriate for both summer and winter. Honestly, it is a great color! The only bad thing about this polish is the bottle size. It is one of Sephora’s mini-polishes. It comes in a 5 ml bottle (0.16 fl. oz.) and is really only good for a few manicures. I always use two coats, and was able to get three, maybe 4, manicures out of it before the bottle became very thick and hard to use.
I highly recommend picking up a (mini)bottle of this cool polish! I guarantee you will instantly fall in love with the color!
*FYI* I am currently on the hunt for a polish of this exact same color but in a larger bottle. I love it so much, but I don’t want to have to buy like, ten bottles of it from Sephora. This color is a staple in my manicure rotation, so it is absolutely necessary to find a larger bottle! I think I may have found a color that is almost an exact match to this one in a new Sally Hansen line…not 100% sure yet…but I’ll keep ya posted!
