Chanel’s Fine Jewelry Anniversary Celebration: Elle Fanning in Chanel Couture

Celeb:  Elle Fanning

Designer:  Chanel Couture

Event:  Chanel’s Fine Jewelry 80th Anniversary Celebration, New York City

Verdict:  Well, of course I love anything and everything Chanel….but….this might be the one exception.  Honestly.  Elle looks like a pilgrim.  This isn’t a cute look.  It looks more like a Halloween costume than it does couture fashion.  And I think we’re done here.

What do you think?  Do you like this black Chanel button-down dress on Elle?  Love it or loathe it?  Yay or nay?

New York Film Screening: Solange Knowles in Twenty8Twelve

Celeb:  Solange Knowles

Designer:  Twenty8Twelve (jacket & shorts), Preen (blouse), Charlotte Olympia (clutch), Nicholas Kirkwood (heels)

Event:    ‘Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007′ Screening, New York City

Verdict:  I am going to be brutally honest here: I hate this.  All of it.  Aside from the color of the jacket and shorts (I love pink!), I don’t think any part of this ensemble looks good on Solange.  I mean, the shoes are cute, yeah, but they don’t make up for an entire outfit.  The shorts are ill-fitting and I think her lipstick looks terrible.  Aaaaaand don’t even get me started on her hair.  Wretched.  Just wretched.  And you know what?  A stylist probably put this look together for her.  Yuck with a capital Y!

What do you think?  Do you like this Twenty8Twelve look on Solange?  Love it or loathe it?  Yay or nay?

New York City Street Style: Victoria Beckham in Victoria Beckham

Celeb:  Victoria Beckham

Designer:  Victoria Beckham Spring 2012 Collection (dress & bag), Manolo Blahnik for Victoria Beckham (booties)

Event:  Lunch at Balthazar, New York City

Verdict:  Naturally I LOVE this Victoria Beckham dress on Victoria!  She always looks absolutely perfect.  This look is no different.  This black dress from her own collection features a cinched waist and pleated skirt, which makes it very flirty and playful, but in an understated, age-appropriate way.   My favorite part of this outfit, though, has got to be her fabulous Manolo Blahnik for Victoria Beckham peep-toe booties!  They are most certainly TO-DIE-FOR.  And I think they look fantastic with her dress!  An oversize handbag and large shades complete this totally posh look.  I love it!

What do you think?  Do you like this black Victoria Beckham dress on Victoria?  Love it or loathe it?  Yay or nay?

Celeb Street Style: Miranda Kerr

Who:  Miranda Kerr

What: Out-and-about, New York City

Wear:  Balenciaga (maxi dress), Hermès (bag)

Verdict:  Well, it is official: Miranda has THE BEST street style of any celeb, EVER.  She always looks perfect.  Seriously.  Even her baby looks perfect (when he is photographed).  It doesn’t hurt that she is insanely beautiful, too.  I mean, she is tall and thin with lovely hair and skin, what’s not to like?!  Am I right?!  Yeah, I am.  But back to her outfit.  Her street style.  This sea foam green Balenciaga maxi-dress is so gorgeous!  I love how the dress sort of wraps around her body and the slightly puffy sleeves are adorable!  A printed Hermès bag and jewel encrusted sandals complete this pretty, daytime casual look.  Love it!

What do you think?  Do you like this light green Balenciaga dress on Miranda?  Love it or loathe it?  Yay or nay?

Gossip Girl: Blake Lively in Haute Hippie

Celeb:  Blake Lively

Designer:  Haute Hippie (tank top and skirt), 3.1 Phillip Lim (bag), Pour la Victoire (heels)

Event:  On-set, Gossip Girl, New York City

Verdict:  I think this outfit is very cute!  I actually really like this Haute Hippie tank and skirt!  I love the embellishments on the top and the floral skirt is ultra-feminine….both pieces are just really pretty.  (This is something I would wear!)  I have to say, though, I’m not crazy about the heels.  I think they are a bit over-the-top for this outfit….plus, I dunno….I think they are kinda hideous!  Sorry.  Her 3.1 Phillip Lim handbag is completely gorgeous, and although it doesn’t particularly “match” this outfit, it really works with this tank and skirt.  This is a lovely outfit, sans the shoes, of course.

What do you think?  Do you like this Haute Hippie tank/skirt combo on Blake?  Love it or loathe it?  Yay or nay?
