Kids’ Choice Awards: Selena Gomez in Oscar de la Renta

Event:  2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Los Angeles

Verdict:  I LOVE this!  Selena looks amazing in this turquoise silk gazar peplum top and white linen shorts both by Oscar de la Renta.  This look is just right for the Kids’ Choice Awards, IMO.  It is fresh, youthful, and perfectly appropriate for spring!  And so pretty!  Selena accessorized with Gucci python-print sandals, a Diane von Furstenberg clutch and gorgeous, flowing locks!  I think this might be one of my favorite looks for Selena.  Plus, now that she ditched Bieber, I like her even more!  When it comes to fashion, Selena is always spot on!  A+!

70th Annual Golden Globe Awards: Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta

Event:  70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, Los Angeles

Verdict:  Jessica looks absolutely gorgeous in this coral hued Oscar de la Renta gown!  The sweetheart neckline and mermaid silhouette are so feminine and pretty.  My least favorite part of this look is the frilly Roger Vivier clutch.  I am not quite sure why her stylist chose it, but hey, other than that tiny faux pas, she looks outstanding!  Side-swept ombre locks, bright lips and a Harry Winston necklace compete this lovely look.  Jessica is certainly a candidate for best dressed celeb of the evening, IMO.  Perfection!

2012 Billboard Music Awards: Carrie Underwood in Oscar de la Renta

Pretty princess with an edgy twist….

Event:  2012 Billboard Music Awards, Las Vegas

Verdict:  I really like this Oscar de la Renta gown on Carrie!  I think it has that pretty-as-a-princess quality, but the wild and crazy multi-layer tulle skirt give it an edgy, flirty feel!  And I adore the lavender, almost grayish color!  I think this dress is so beautiful, yet fun and perfectly appropriate for the venue.  It is not too over-the-top, but not too prim and proper, either.  Carrie looks great!

Billboard’s Women in Music Event: Taylor Swift in Oscar de la Renta

Songbird Taylor Swift attended Billboard’s Sixth Annual Women in Music Event last night….

 

Welp….I finally got my wish.  Taylor wore her hair straight!  Finally!   And guess what?!  I am not loving it like I thought I would.  I think it’s the bangs, though.  I don’t like ‘em!  She needs to do sleek’n'straight but no bangs! 

And the dress….Taylor chose a little red number by Oscar de la Renta.  No complaining here!  I love the dress!  And I love that she chose something in such a vibrant color!  Yay!  It is so nice to see Tays not wearing the color gold to a red carpet event!   Sheesh!  It is about time!  And she looks fantastic!  As always, I am not crazy about the red lipstick…but, well she is wearing a red dress, so I get it.  And one more thing…I think her nude pumps are kinda boring.  A spicier shoe would’ve been nice….know what I mean?   All complaints aside, Taylor looks pretty!  Like she always does.  Pretty.  But not super sexy!  I know her sexy side is buried in there somewhere….underneath all that syrupy sweetness!  ;)

Ashley Greene in Oscar de la Renta

I may have a new girl crush….Ashley Greene!  I love this girl!  I think she is so gorgeous!  Ashley attended the premiere of ‘Butter’ yesterday at the Toronto International Film Festival wearing Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012. 

 

 

At first glance, I wasn’t crazy about this dress on Ashley.  But then as I studied the dress more closely, I changed my tune.  I think Ashley looks really beautiful.  This Oscar de la Renta looks really amazing on her!   She paired her white sequined dress with a metallic belt and black velvet Ferragamo heels.  And to complete the look she carried a black Swarovski clutch. 

She looks so chic, so classy.  I really think this is a great dress on Ashley.  What do you think?
