Chanel Haute Couture Show: Diane Kruger in Chanel

Perfect example of accessories ruining a cute dress….

Celeb:  Diane Kruger

Designer:  Chanel (dress), Christian Louboutin (flats)

Event:  Chanel Haute Couture Show, Paris

Verdict:  While I think this blue Chanel dress is super-cute, I don’t really like the styling or Diane’s accessories.  Her side-pony and makeup are pretty, but I don’t care for her Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ flats or her ’baker boy’ hat with this particular dress.   Paired with something else, those accessories could totally work, but for this look, I’m afraid they are mismatched.  That being said, Diane is one of my favorite fashion icons.  She is always immaculately put together, polished, classy and still very feminine.  Either she has a great stylist of fantastic taste….or both.  ;)

Front Row @ Christian Dior Fall 2012: Olivia Palermo

Socialite and fashionista Olivia Palermo attended the Christian Dior Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2012 Show during Paris Fashion Week at Musee Rodin in Paris.   The starlet was front-row, as always…..

 

Olivia chose a Christian Dior splatter-paint sleeveless dress that features a drop-waist and flared skirt.  She paired it with a black cardigan and coral suede pumps with a black web-like intricate design.  I love this and I think Olivia looks fantastic!  She looks comfortable, classy and totally chic.   The dress is super-cute and the shoes are ultra-sexy!  A perfect combination!

Sexy Casual: Miranda Kerr’s Street Style

Miranda Kerr just might be the sexiest woman on the planet.  Seriously.  She is perfection.   Here she is….out and about in New York….looking amazing….

 

 

Miranda looks so chic in her scarf, white blouse, black pants and heels.   This look is so effortless, which is why I love it!  We already know Miranda looks great on the runway when she is all dolled up, but this proves that she is here to stay!  Girl has a great sense for fashion!

Olivia Palermo in Christian Dior

Olivia Palermo attended the Christian Dior show in Paris during Fashion Week wearing…what else…Christian Dior!

 

Olivia was just one of the many celebs to attend the Christian Dior Spring 2012 show at Musee Rodin (*sigh*) and she did so wearing a sheer black lace Christian Dior dress.   While I don’t love the dress, I don’t hate it, either.  If you are going to wear a dress like this, then Paris Fashion Week is your best bet.  It is her accessories that are really bothering me.  I don’t like ‘em!  At least not all together and certainly not with this dress!  The earrings and the bracelet are way too big.  Period.  Too big and chunky.  And the red Dior handbag is amazing-just not appropriately paired with such a dainty dress.  And then we have her shoes.  They appear to be some sort of ankle bootie- almost “biker babe” style.  And they too are great.  But not with everything else she is wearing.  This Christian Dior dress is dainty and lightweight and super girly, IMO.  Her accessories are each great in their own way, but they are all wrong for this dress.  All wrong! 

Tisk, tisk Olivia!  You should definitely know better!  You are a fashionista, after all.  Or are you???

Paris Fashion Week: Clemence Poesy in Chanel

Lovely French actress Clemence Poesy hit up Paris Fashion Week  looking quite gorgeous….

 

 

 

Clemence chose a Chanel Pre-Fall 2011 multi-colored polka-dot halter dress which she paired with a velvet waistband, black suede Miu Miu peep-toe pumps and a silver clutch.   I love this Chanel dress on Clemence!  It give her a gorgeous silhouette and the bejeweled neckline is beautiful!  And although her shoes are fairly plain, they are a great match for such a busy dress!  Perfect!

I prefer Clemence and her take on this Chanel versus that of the runway version:

 

I think the embellished waistband on the model is just too heavy and too much for such an intricate dress.  And I DO NOT like the sandals!  Not appropriate for such a feminine and pretty dress!
