Kids’ Choice Awards: Selena Gomez in Oscar de la Renta

Event:  2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Los Angeles

Verdict:  I LOVE this!  Selena looks amazing in this turquoise silk gazar peplum top and white linen shorts both by Oscar de la Renta.  This look is just right for the Kids’ Choice Awards, IMO.  It is fresh, youthful, and perfectly appropriate for spring!  And so pretty!  Selena accessorized with Gucci python-print sandals, a Diane von Furstenberg clutch and gorgeous, flowing locks!  I think this might be one of my favorite looks for Selena.  Plus, now that she ditched Bieber, I like her even more!  When it comes to fashion, Selena is always spot on!  A+!

‘Spring Breakers’ Premiere: Selena Gomez in Reem Acra

Event:  ‘Spring Breakers’ Premiere, Los Angeles

Verdict:  Very nice!  I love this flowy red Reem Acra gown that features beaded illusion panels.  It is gorgeous!  Just like Selena!  I sort of have a hard time saying this look is elegant….considering she is at a premiere of a movie titled ‘Spring Breakers’….a film in which she stars….but she does look quite lovely.  Accessories include Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and a black Jimmy Choo clutch.  Light makeup and loose, pulled-back wavy locks complete this pretty look.

Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party: Selena Gomez in Ani Lee

Sweet and sexy…..

Celeb:  Selena Gomez

Designer:  Ani Lee (dress), Christian Louboutin (pumps)

Event:  Fifth Annual Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party, Hollywood

Verdict:  I think this dress is super-cute!  The sort of bustier-style top makes it very edgy and very sexy and the soft, ruffled skirt adds a cute, girly touch.  Minimal makeup and loose curls provide perfect finishing touches to this almost-perfect look.  The reason I say almost-perfect?  The shoes.  These nude patent leather Christian Louboutin pumps are obviously to-die-for….just not with this dress, IMO.  I think some sort of black pump…maybe something strappy…would’ve been a better choice.  But even still, Selena looks fab!  She is such a cutie!  :)

AMA’s: Selena Gomez in Giorgio Armani

Selena Gomez strutted the red carpet at the 2011 American Music Awards in Los Angeles earlier this evening….

Selena donned a pewter colored satin Giorgio Armani gown, gold strappy sandals and rocked luscious retro waves and gorgeous diamond earrings.  She looks pretty, as always.  But I am not over-the-top crazy for this gown.  I like her hair and makeup….I like the fact that she is going for a little bit different look with the retro hairdo.  But the dress just doesn’t ‘move me’ in any way, shape or form.  Pretty, yes.  Exciting, no. 

What do you think?  Are you crazy for Selena in this Giorgio Armani dress?  Or not so much?

European Music Awards: Selena Gomez in Marchesa

Selena Gomez arrived on the red carpet at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards, which were held in Belfast at the Odyssey Arena,  looking gorgeous….

 

The adorable singer/actress chose a short ivory tulle and ribbon design from the Marchesa Fall 2011 Collection.  The dress featured a sheer back with tiny buttons and very intricate ribbon work which was bordered on the bottom by tulle.  Selena paired her Marchesa mini-dress with studded metallic Casadei peep-toe pumps. 

I think Selena looks fantastic!  This dress is super feminine, with all the tulle and ribbon detail, but also young and playful!  She looks flirty and fun….but still very classy.  I love her dark nail polish, red box clutch and soft, side-swept ponytail, too!  She looks perfect!  I really love this!
