American Music Awards: Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad

Event:  2012 American Music Awards, Los Angeles

Verdict:  Gorgeous!  Taylor looks ultra glamorous in this long-sleeved Zuhair Murad mini-dress.  The intricate gold beading is simply beautiful and the open back is way sexy!  I like her pulled-back hair and dark eyes, too.  Red nail polish, Neil Lane jewelry, nude lips and strappy Jimmy Choo sandals complete this lovely look.  This is great.  It’s young and fresh, yet still feminine and pretty.  It isn’t too out-of-the-norm for Taylor, but hey, she looks amazing!  Love it!

84th Annual Academy Awards: Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad

Sorta undecided on this one….

Event:  84th Annual Academy Awards, Los Angeles

Verdict:  I am just so-so on this one.  I don’t like the sleeves.  I do think this is a beautiful gown (minus the sleeves), I just don’t love it for Jennifer.  She has a smokin’ hot body, but I don’t feel like this is very flattering.  I can’t really put my finger on what in particular I don’t like about it (aside from the sleeves) but it just doesn’t give me butterflies.  J. Lo looks pretty, but this is nothing special, IMO.

54th Annual GRAMMY Awards: Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad

Wow.  Taylor has left me speechless.  Just wow.

Event:  54th Annual GRAMMY Awards, Los Angeles

Verdict:  LOVE IT.  That is really all I can say.  I love this gold embellished Zuhair Murad gown on Taylor.  I love everything about it: the cap sleeves, the high neck, the peek-a-boo chest panel and especially the beautiful train/skirt.  Whilst Taylor is known for wearing a lot of gold dresses/gowns to red carpet events, this is still a BIG CHANGE for her.  I think this is significantly out of her comfort zone.  Not only the dress but the slicked back hair and pink lipstick.  (She usually sports bright red lips!)  It’s simple, really:  I think this dress is stunning.  Taylor looks fantastic.  Period.
